About Me?

I guess. 

First off, I am an adult. Yay? I am also a mother of two daughters, Azalea Aeris  and Lilium Sage. Yes, I got the name Lilium from Elfen Lied, but no, my daughter isn’t technically named AFTER Elfen Lied since that would be creepy… but ironically she does have red hair… but yes, this blog is indeed named after the Elfen Lied song. Lilium is Latin for Lily and my real name also means Lily. And yes, I got the name Aeris from FFVII, but my daughter is definitely not named after her since I am a 100% Tifa obsessed lover, but Azalea Aeris sounded pretty and prettier than Azalea Aerith. Sage is my favorite name of all time, but when I was pregnant, Lilium was what I decided on if we had a girl - which we did.

I have been blogging since 2003. 

I originally made this blog just because I make blogs everywhere, but after losing my 50,000+ image collection, I have decided to use this as a place to store my favorite pictures, as well as GIFs I make and of course finding new ones on Tumblr is just great, too! My re-collection is going quite nicely, though, as I had most of my favorite anime galleries uploaded to various places, so I just had to redownload them, but I am still working on it.

When did you start watching anime? 

Around 7 years old, I think. Speed Racer! Then I watched Sailor Moon and Record of Lodoss War! Then I hit my teenage years and stopped watching anime since I had a dramatic teenager-time, but I always played video games! There wasn’t easy access to anime then, but I still printed out pictures and stuff because I love collecting pictures. When I finally started to settle back down again, can thank Adult Swim for letting me watch again and then I moved onto subbed shows since there wasn’t anything left to watch. 

How long have you played video games? 

Since I was 4! Atari and then Nethack on my Uncle’s computer. I still love Nethack. RPGs are my favorites, but games are really awesome nowadays, so I am trying out all sorts of genres on the PS3 that I used to not play.

Fantasy, History, Mythology, Astrology, Reading, Writing (back when I was an active writer, I had over 2,000 pages written for my book), Classical/Instrumental music, Musicals, Nature, Ewan McGregor, Horror movies (I will watch all, but I seem to like South Korean ones the best), Cillian Murphy, Serial killers, Ocean (particularly the deep ocean which I have a vast interest and fear in), Astronomy, Anthropology, Archaeology, Psychology, Animals, Swimming, Running.

Random Stuff

I have two cats named Tifa and Rinoa. In between Tifa and Rinoa, I also had Yuri (named after Shadow Hearts) and Cloud, but they died… then I got Rinoa, who we call Nini. 

I’ve wanted to live in New Zealand since I was about 11-12 and first saw Hercules and Xena. 

I am multiple nationalities including: Irish (over half), Greek, Native American (two tribes), Dutch and French. 

I have a deep fascination and fear of the deep ocean and the creatures that live in it. I wanted to be an oceanographer for a long time, but then I switched to a historian and then an English teacher. =) 

You say you’re anti-lolicon, but you post a lot of ‘loli’ characters: 

I am anti-lolicon! Not anti-loli. I am anti-childlike-characters-in-sexual-positions or with their clothes off. Jokes in shows are okay, but there is a line that I will not cross because I seriously find little girls…. not hot and looking at them in those ways really grosses me out. For staring at, I prefer girls with long hair, long legs and big breasts. ^_~ Long hair on guys, too! But there are a lot of loli characters I like and I also find very pretty from their faces, eyes and hair. =) I am a huge long-hair fan. Characters like Sora from Yosuga no Sora, Nadeko from Bakemongatari and Setsuna from School Days gross me out and piss me off. I was even semi-okay with Sora at first.. it wasn’t even the incest… it was just seeing her. D: She had such nice hair, too and had such yandere potential. Setsuna I liked until she turned into an evil bitch and took her clothes off, and Nadeko …. ugh. Small, petite, flat adults are okay (maybe) as long as they are obviously adults, but I still really don’t want to see them.
